Extraction from industrial paint preparation room
Customer request
Air extraction and purification plant for a paint preparation room part of an automotive production line.
During the preparation airborne polluting fumes are released.
Design
Extraction has be planned to work from the stainless steel cabinet intended to contain drums on foot mats.
Normally, once the air is extracted, it is sent to a combustor. We designed the cabinet, so that once it is opened extraction of fumes is automatically activated by carbon purifier that recirculates the entire capacity. In this way, pollutants are not dispersed in the workplace.
Design stage involved sizing of the exact speeds of air flow in extraction and discharge ducts, with consequent calculation of the overall load losses depending on the path of the tubes and other components of the plant, all custom designed.
Activated carbons system was sized by considering the appropriate air/carbon contact time, to use at its best their absorption function.
