Cyclones for dust

Efficiency of operation is based on the centrifugal force that separates dust particles from the air flow on rotary motion thanks to the tangential inlet on the cyclone body.

Often this kind of system is adopted as starter in a system that includes cartridge or sleeve filters.

The ability to treat particles with more or less fine grain size depends on the diameter of the cyclone. It can achieve up to 90% of capture efficiency depending on the size of grains.
Cyclone dust collectors are used in production processes generating powders with coarse grain size and high concentration, such as:

• wood processing (air purification from saw dust)
• metalworking
• rubber and plastics processing
• mixing, weighing and packaging of powdery materials
• sandblastings, grindings, cuttings
• fusion of metallic materials and combustion of solid materials
• cement industry
